Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the firm’s corporate, regulatory, and advisory practice and supporting strategic business operations across various sectors
- Advising local, foreign, and multinational clients on establishing, operating, and expanding their presence in Iraq
- Structuring corporate arrangements and legal frameworks in accordance with Iraqi laws and international business standards
- Providing strategic legal advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and business operations
- Managing key client relationships and acting as a trusted legal advisor to senior management and decision-makers
- Leading the review, drafting, and negotiation of contracts, legal opinions, corporate documentation, and transactional matters
- Overseeing intellectual property strategy, trademark protection, and portfolio management
- Supervising cross-functional legal matters and ensuring efficient execution of legal services and consistent service excellence across the firm
- Coordinating with governmental authorities and regulatory bodies to support licensing, approvals, and legal compliance requirements
- Mentoring associates and supporting professional development within the legal team
